Now I am using the bpress forum in my wordpress website. I saw PHPBB is the No.1 forum software and most of the sites using it. But it seems PHPbb didn’t had SEO friendly URL. So I am confused which one to choose?
Please advise to choose which one to pick? Thanks in advance…
BBPRESS is the best search engine optimized forum software than PHPBB3.
Pros: BBPRESS has SEO friendly URL and you can edit the meta for each forum and topics.
Cons: Limited functionality than PHPBB3.
If you are using the WordPress site, then BBPRESS is the best choice.
If you concentrating only on SEO, then bbPress is little bit more seo-friendly than phpBB. But you want to run full powered forum, then choose phpBB. phpBB3 is most advanced and No.1 forum software. Just try phpBB3 once , you can migrate to bbPress if you are not happy with phpBB3.
My suggestion is:
1. If you already having a WordPress site, then without any confusion install bbPress.
2. If you don’t have WordPress site or you want to run a standalone forum with all necessary forum functions then choose phpBB.
