Babylon toolbar is one of the browser adware extension which helps to translate given words to custom language. It will change your browser’s home page, default search engine and display ads. This toolbar will be installed as part of some other software. Follow the below instructions to remove Babylon toolbar since most of the people won’t use this toolbar.
In order to uninstall the Babylon toolbar, first you should stop all running Babylon process. You may find a small Babylon icon at the right bottom of your screen next to the system clock. Right click the Babylon icon and select “Exit”. Then you may be prompted for confirmation, click “Yes” to exit the application.
Click “Start” and select “Control Panel”, which displays all the applications installed on your computer.
Select “Babylon Toolbar” in the list of installed programs and click “Uninstall”. Click “Yes” and go ahead till it completes.
Click “Start”, select “Computer” or “My Computer” (Windows + E) and open “C:” drive(where you installed Operating system).
Double click “Programs Files” folder and delete the “Babylon” folder in the list. Restart your computer.
Change your browsers home page and default search provider as your wish.
Tips & Warnings
- Some unauthorized software may be bundled with Babylon and get installed along with it. So while installing any software, uncheck the option “Install Babylon Toolbar” to avoid this happen again.
- Scan your computer for malware and anti-spyware and remove if anything present.
- Use registry cleaner software like “CCleaner”, System Mechanic to remove it from registry keys.
