How to View Page Source in Firefox

You might amaze to see some attractive style and design used by certain websites. Firefox browser gives a great feature to view the web page source code by “View Page Source” option. By viewing the page source of that web page, you can find the code they have used to set up that design. From the code, you can come to know how they designed that style.

Instructions

1 Open a new Firefox browser window.

2 Navigate to the webpage (from where you want to see the page source) by typing the website URL in the address bar and press ENTER.

3 Once the page loads completely, right-click anywhere on the web page, then select the “View Page Source” option on the menu appears. You can find a new window opens and shows the source code of that page.

4 You can also see the page source by shortcut key (Ctrl +U), which opens source code in a new window.

5Use this alternative way. Select View Page Source from View option in the menu bar. This displays the source code of the current page where you will do this.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the latest version of Firefox browser because the older version may not have this feature in the above method.
  • If you don’t have the Firefox latest version, then download new latest version Firefox from here or update your old Firefox.
  • Don’t right click on any pictures and links on that page, then the “View Page Source” option will not seem on that menu.
